Surgery:

If surgery is recommended, we will schedule an appointment with you to meet with one of our nurses prior to the surgery date. At that appointment, they will answer any specific questions you may have regarding the surgery scheduling process, discuss the paperwork and tests involved, and complete all precertification/authorization required by your insurance.

Before your surgery you can do a few things at home to make your recovery easier.

  • Have a telephone in a convenient location near you, either by the chair or bed.
  • Buy easy to prepare foods before your surgery.
  • Ask someone to be available to help you with shopping and other chores.
  • Place food and cooking utensils in areas where you can get to them without bending over.
  • Keep shoes, clothing and toiletries at heights that do not require you to bend over to get to them.
  •
